Linda Slade’s Professional Experience

I have worked in the theatre, television, and film industry for over thirty years – starting in theatre, performing in the British Repertory System, and touring Europe performing the classics. Numerous theatre and television productions followed, such as Casualty and Wycliffe, and then I moved to the States where I worked closely with The Tampa Rep and Stageworks Theatre Company, resulting in the setting up of my own theatre company in Florida (‘ModernEyes Theatre Company’.) In the US I discovered the rich library of American plays which I later produced and brought back to the UK.

My training at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama provided me with the skills to strengthen my voice and to teach: I was already a trained actress from The Drama Studio London, and a qualified Drama Teacher, with a B.ed in Drama and Education from Homerton College,  Cambridge University.

I set up The Authentic Voice Studio in Los Angeles to support my work and this led to further jobs as a voice-over artist and dialect coach in Los Angeles working with companies such as Lifetime Movies.

After twenty years I went on to write my own books: The Easy Voice Book Series and my new book ‘Stand and Deliver’ which will be coming out in 2025.

I found my niche in Los Angeles as a voice coach and taught students at a Master’s Degree level at Cal State Fullerton University and The New York Film Academy as well as for many private acting schools and general private tutoring.

Returning to the UK I studied film producing at The University of South Wales. Since then I have produced and directed numerous films and television. I trained for the PMP exam in Project Management which has allowed me to manage large projects Internationally with my Charity: The International Mother Earth Foundation.

Studying for a Masters in Spiritual Psychology at The University of Santa Monica has influenced my work with International projects: I educate my students to be motivated and honest in their work and look to tell inspirational stories through the entertainment industry.
